Hovi Village, Fiji.

Nestled in a valley in the mountains of Nadroga, a district in Fiji, is a sleepy village called Sovi (known locally as Hovi). The village is home to a couple of dozen homes which belong largely to two families who originated from this precinct.

As part of an expedition I did with NGO Think Pacific, the Koroinahau clan looked after me for a few weeks, cooking me their food, teaching me about their culture and very fortunately - letting me take their photos while also letting me teach them how to take their own.
